classes offered every week- MWF
Monday- Bodyweight HIIT Workouts
Required for this class: Mat, Water Bottle and sometimes a jump rope*
This class focuses a wide array of different full body bodyweight challenges that target strength, cardio, speed, agility, balance and core. There is a great selection of jump ropes from Sports Basement.
Wednesday- Strength and Toning Workouts
Required for this class: Mat, Water Bottle and Medium Weight Dumbbells**
This class focuses on building strength and toning and less on cardio. Most of these workouts are centered around dumbbells where we isolate muscle groups and focus on reps. It is recommended that you bring you own set of dumbbells. SickFit has limited supply and many not always be able to accomodate every bootcamper. You should purchase a medium resistance level where you can manage 10-20 reps. I recommend that you purchase your dumbbells from Sports Basement. It is an incredible store.
Friday- Full Body Circuits
Required for this class: Mat, Water Bottle and sometimes a jump rope
This class focuses on different types of circuits using quite a bit of different equipment that includes, but not limited to, TRX Suspension Trainers, Battle Ropes, Kettlebells, Jump Ropes, Dumbbells, BOSU, Step360, Med Balls, Agility hurdles and ladders, and much more.
*SickFit has plenty of jump ropes however, many bootcampers like their own rope to use at home and to measure for their height. Mine may/may not accomodate your height.
**SickFit has purchased some dumbbells in 5lb., 8lb., and 10 lb. weights. However, as the classes grow, there are less dumbbells to go around. It is highly recommended that you purchase your own set of dumbbells. I recommend 8 lb because it is very versatile. You don't want too heavy and not too light.
what do classes look like?
classes offered 2 or more times a month
Tuesday- Balance, Stretch and Foam Rolling Class
Required for this class: Mat, Water Bottle, Foam Roller and Stretch Strap
This class focuses primarily on deep stretching and foam rolling exercises. This is an excellent "recovery" class in that as your workout more, your body breaks down and needs help in repairing itself to make it stronger. Stretching is an excellent way to aid in recovery as well as help to prevent injuries like tendonitis. This class focuses on isolating muscle groups and really work through their Range Of Motion. Additionally, there is a full body foam rolling component as well as balance. Check the Calendar to find out what Tuesdays these classes are offered.

I purchased the stretch straps and foam rollers that I use for the class from Sports Basement.
Saturday- 75 minute "Circuit Saturdays"
2-3 Saturdays a month I hold a 75 minute Circuit Training class. This class usually has a lot of different equipment and takes on a lot of different formats. There is partnering work, team work, individual challenges and a mix of all of this. The extra 15 minutes make a big difference. This is often times the bootcampers favorite class of the week. The circuits provide new challenges. You need to check the Calendar to find out when these classes are offered.
equipment you need to purchase
With the bootcamp class sizes growing, it is important to get some of your own equipment. I recommend that you purchase a jump rope, yoga mat and a set of dumbbells. If you plan to take the Tuesday Stretch Class, you will need to get a stretch strap and foam roller as well. All of this exercise equipment can be purchased at Sports Basement in either Sunnyvale or Campbell. I heavily endorse them for they do a ton of community service and give proceeds back to the schools.
